Flagstone is fit, cut, and set on a sand or mortar bed with tight, consistent joints; walls are laid and leveled course by course; boulders and steps are set solid and stable. We blend sizes and colors so the work looks natural.

Does a flagstone patio need sealing or maintenance?
Some. Sand-set flagstone benefits from periodic joint top-up and occasional weed control; mortared stone stays cleaner but the joints may need occasional attention. Do I need a permit for stone hardscape?
A ground-level stone patio or path usually does not require a permit, but stone retaining walls over a certain height and structural work can. BES confirms whether your project needs a permit with the City of Poway or County of San Diego before starting.
